Plumbing and HVAC rules in Idaho

Idaho's State Plumbing Board licenses plumbing contractors, and plumbers hold journeyman or apprentice licenses.^{1, 2, 3}

Idaho's HVAC Board licenses HVAC and HVAC specialty contractors, and the state also issues HVAC permits and does the inspections.^{4, 5}

Idaho's state plumbing code is the 2015 Uniform Plumbing Code with amendments.⁶ The Idaho Mechanical Code is the 2018 International Mechanical Code with amendments, along with the International Residential Code and International Fuel Gas Code.⁵
